LinkedIn SlideShare Introduces Clipping, Saving Your Favorite Content Just Got Easier:
There were some interesting developments over at LinkedIn last month. On the 19th they rolled out the LinkedIn Lookup App and the following week they announced some big changes with SlideShare. LinkedIn acquired SlideShare in 2012 and began integrating it into their social network. Thanks to their hard work it is now one of the top 100 sites on the internet. Taking the integration to the next level they have rebranded it as “LinkedIn SlideShare” and developed a new tool that enables users to clip the most useful slides from presentations and add them to topic-based clipboards.
LinkedIn SlideShare Clipping
Over 70 million people use SlideShare each month, so a lot of information is available, but the quality of work can vary considerably. LinkedIn’s new “Clipping” feature has been designed to help users select the best content and group it together.
The new fully integrated LinkedIn SlideShare also makes it easy for users to check the credentials of the person responsible for creating the content. That on its own is a very useful facility, and users will be able to organize their clipboards by topic and then share the entire board or specific slides with their networks.
And There is More to Come…
It all sounds very promising and the official announcement over at the LinkedIn blog states several business professionals are already seeing the benefits of these changes. However, for a more in-depth explanation about how the Clipping process works, and a peek at some of the other upcoming changes, the official LinkedIn SlideShare blog is definitely the place to go.
