Meet YouTube Red, the Ultimate YouTube Experience:
On October 28 YouTube is rolling out a new service. It’s called YouTube Red and it’s designed to give users more choices when they are watching videos, while also helping to support video creators. YouTube announced the news last week and used the opportunity to tell users a new YouTube music app is coming soon.
Giving Users What They Want with YouTube Red
According to the announcement on the official YouTube blog, site users have been asking for improved video watching choices, and that’s exactly what the new service will provide. Use of YouTube Red will entail a $9.99 subscription fee, but when Red is launched on Wednesday viewers in the US will be able to take advantage of a free one-month trial.
Subscribers will be able to watch videos back-to-back and all the way through without having to suffer any of the usual – and sometimes annoying – advertisements. That should be a big selling point on its own and subscribers will be able to use the service on any device they choose and download them to watch offline.
YouTube Red can also be used with YouTube’s new gaming app and the new YouTube Music app, which is going to be available soon. It is also compatible with Google music; so it looks like there are some exciting times ahead for YouTube users. You can get the full story over at the YouTube blog.
