Place Tips: A Valuable Page Tool for Local Businesses
Facebook launched their Place Tips App earlier this year. Now in a recent post on their Facebook for Business blog, Facebook is offering businesses valuable tips to help them reap the full benefits of Place Tips.
Place Tips provides Facebook users with a means of finding out more information about the places they are at. The app provides businesses with an extra opportunity to reach out to their customers.
Restaurants can provide customers with the latest menus, reviews, and specialties. Stores can offer details about upcoming promotions and special deals. The app is customizable so business owners can choose the best information to provide.
The Place Tips app also allows users to show their Facebook friends exactly where they are at, so the free advertising benefits speak for themselves.
Changes to PayPal’s Purchase Protection
PayPal has announced some changes to their Purchase Protection coverage and if you are selling services or digital and intangible goods online the changes could directly affect your business.
From July 1, 2015, the existing coverage will be extended to cover intangibles, such as digital downloads, tickets, and services.
When the new rules kick-in businesses may be asked to provide “compelling evidence” that the intangible item was supplied. PayPal states the changes to Purchase Protection coverage will benefit businesses because customers will feel more confident about purchasing intangible items.
PayPal also points out claims will be evaluated on their merits and may be rejected when sellers can prove they provided the goods or services as described.
