Pages Messaging: New Ways for People and Businesses to Connect
Private messaging is so fast and convenient it is many people’s preferred option of contacting their friends and family. These days more and more people are want to communicate with businesses in the same way, and over one billion people a month visit Pages to find out more information about businesses. Last week Facebook announced they were responding to their users’ needs by introducing a slew of new features to Pages that will make it easier for customers and businesses to interact.
Ensuring Businesses and Customers are “on the Same Page”
For starters, the new “Send Message” feature for local awareness ads makes it easy for people to start private conversations with businesses they find in News Feed ads, and Page owners will be able to see which ad prompted the contact.
Another useful new feature will allow Page admins to reply to public messages via private messaging, giving them the ability to handle customer requests and issues more efficiently. Once the reply has been made the original comment will show a note that the business sent a private message, so other Page visitors cans see it was not ignored.
Get Rewarded for Responding!
Going one better, Pages that respond to 90% of messages, and do so in less than five minutes, will be rewarded with a “Very responsive to messages” badge on their profiles.
Other improvements include additional tools for managing messages, including a facility that makes it possible to block private messages from businesses, and the ability for Page admins to create templates for answering common questions. You can find out more at Facebook for Business.
